 The large spans and corresponding ridge height of wide-span and multispan polythene greenhouses present considerable challenges and risks during construction and maintenance work at height.

In many greenhouses harvest carts and work platforms are suspended from parallel overhead heating pipes in the work paths.

Rovero took this system and modified it by incorporating two sturdy structural beams at gutter height either side of the ridge – thus creating rails for a work platform can travel over, as well as providing unparalleled strength within the greenhouse.

A specially designed rack & pinion mechanism was developed to ensure sufficient room for the work platform to operate smoothly without interfering with the double ridge ventilation.
